The technical details and descriptions given for the various fire safety components of a building have been developed by referring to the most recent British Standards, Building Regulations and associated codes.

This site provides on-line visual guidance and downloadable specifications that can be referred to when designing means of escape.

We always looking for new authors - so if you have something intresting to say about fire and means of escape related to building control, we would like to hear from you.
